Script Submission
We are currently accepting script submissions for consideration in our upcoming seasons.
We welcome scripts from emerging and established writers, especially those whose voices have been historically underrepresented. Selected works may be considered for development or full production as part of our upcoming seasons. Dreamborne Theater is committed to providing our collaborators with resources, care, and a community rooted in experimentation and trust.
What We’re Looking For?
Works with nonlinear, poetic, or ritualistic structures
Texts that are bilingual, multilingual, or expressed through embodied and sound-based language
Performances driven by ensemble collaboration or rooted deeply in memory
Themes exploring fragmentation, multiplicity, and the cultural process of re-membering
Selection Process
All submissions will be reviewed by our Artistic Advisory Council, a rotating body of artists and curators who guide the creative vision of Dreamborne Theater.
What We OFFER?
Script development workshops with dramaturgs and directors
Rehearsal and performance opportunities in New York City
Modest honoraria or artist stipends (depending on funding)
